REPLIL develops cybersecurity and infrastructure management solutions for industrial and operational technology (OT) environments. The company's flagship platform, REPLIL Industrial Patch Manager (IPM), provides centralized patch and vulnerability management across diverse industrial settings. This platform assists organizations in identifying, assessing, approving, deploying, and monitoring operating system, software, firmware, and vendor-approved updates across IT and OT infrastructure. We are seeking a System Engineer with expertise in infrastructure, networking, troubleshooting, and patch management to join our team in Khobar, Saudi Arabia. This is a full-time position requiring 2-5 years of experience.

Role Overview

The System Engineer will be responsible for the deployment, configuration, support, and troubleshooting of REPLIL Industrial Patch Manager and its supporting infrastructure within customer environments in Saudi Arabia. This is a hands-on technical role suitable for an engineer proficient with Windows Server, patch management technologies, networking, firewalls, remote management protocols, and enterprise infrastructure. While experience in OT or industrial environments is advantageous, candidates with a strong IT infrastructure and patch management background who are interested in developing OT expertise are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities

• Deploy, configure, administer, and troubleshoot REPLIL Industrial Patch Manager (IPM) and related components.
• Manage and troubleshoot Windows Server environments.
• Configure and support Microsoft patch management technologies, including WSUS, Microsoft Configuration Manager (SCCM/MECM), and Windows Update.
• Understand the complete patch management lifecycle, from discovery and synchronization to deployment, verification, and reporting.
• Troubleshoot failed patch installations using Windows and application logs.
• Configure and troubleshoot network connectivity between distributed systems, including firewalls, switches, routers, VLANs, ports, routing, DNS, and certificates.
• Troubleshoot remote management technologies and protocols such as WinRM/PowerShell Remoting, WMI, SSH, SNMP, HTTPS/TLS, and RDP.
• Monitor system availability, performance, services, logs, and infrastructure health.
• Support patching and management of Windows, Linux, applications, and network infrastructure.
• Assist customers and internal teams with technical troubleshooting and root-cause analysis.
• Prepare technical documentation, deployment procedures, troubleshooting guides, and customer reports.
• Participate in system design reviews, testing, SAT activities, implementation, and customer handover.

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on experience in System Engineering, System Administration, Infrastructure Support, or a similar role.
• Practical understanding of enterprise patch management.
• Strong hands-on experience with Windows Server administration.
• Experience with WSUS, SCCM/MECM, Windows Update, or comparable enterprise patch management platforms.
• Good understanding of Windows patching, servicing, cumulative updates, security updates, prerequisites, reboot requirements, and patch failure troubleshooting.
• Working knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, certificates, services, Task Scheduler, and PowerShell.
• Good understanding of TCP/IP networking, ports, routing, VLANs, DNS, and firewall rules.
• Hands-on experience troubleshooting firewalls and network equipment.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to systematically diagnose infrastructure, operating system, application, and network issues.
• Ability to communicate technical issues clearly with customers and internal engineering teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.

Preferred Experience and Career Growth

Experience in OT/ICS/Industrial Control Systems, IT/OT network architecture and segmentation, industrial cybersecurity, Linux administration and patching, or vulnerability management will be considered an advantage. Previous OT experience is preferred but not mandatory. This role offers significant hands-on learning opportunities for engineers interested in progressing from traditional System Administration/Infrastructure Engineering into OT/ICS Infrastructure and Cybersecurity. You will be trained to work with critical infrastructure and OT environments, gaining practical exposure through the REPLIL R&D environment to technologies from multiple enterprise and industrial vendors, including Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto Networks, Microsoft, Industrial PLCs, and various OT/ICS systems.

Candidate Profile

We are particularly interested in engineers who demonstrate strong hands-on troubleshooting ability and a willingness to learn. Candidates should be able to address practical scenarios such as diagnosing Windows patch failures, understanding patch applicability, troubleshooting remote communication issues (*, WinRM), identifying required firewall ports, and safely deploying patches across production systems. The ability to distinguish between network, authentication, operating system, application, or patch-related problems is essential, especially in isolated or restricted network environments.
