Wood (KSA) is seeking a TPE V / Principal Piping Engineer to join its project team in Al Khobar, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves contributing to projects for industry leaders within the renewables and emerging energy sectors, focusing on delivering safe and predictable outcomes.

Core Responsibilities

• Provide discipline expertise in Piping Layout and Material, with strong knowledge of Stress Analysis.
• Perform engineering assignments and produce a range of deliverables, including complex tasks, utilizing technical knowledge.
• Evaluate, select, and adapt standard techniques, procedures, and criteria for task execution.
• Execute standard engineering activities, often unsupervised, and perform conventional design engineering and analysis as a document originator.
• Create and review designs, drawings, specifications, and other engineering deliverables for both existing and new technologies.
• Address problems involving new concepts and varied issues requiring technical expertise, innovation, or significant modifications.
• Establish detailed designs and performance specifications to meet general requirements for components, systems, and processes.
• Plan and carry out successive steps, resolving problems with general guidance.
• Meet discipline cost and schedule requirements, coordinate work schedules, and prepare progress reports.
• Develop engineering deliverables such as specifications, calculations, reports, and technical requisitions.
• Interpret specifications, investigate difficulties, and review vendor documents.
• Actively participate in design reviews and conduct problem-solving within the area of expertise.
• Develop alternative solutions, identifying associated risks and benefits.
• Provide technical input and support to proposals as required.

Qualifications and Experience

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum of 15+ years of experience in executing offshore Oil & Gas projects.

Key Skills and Attributes

• Proficiency in relevant software and calculation templates.
• Ability to comprehend and interpret complex technical information.
• Demonstrated application of engineering theory in practical contexts.
• Experience with major projects completed in S3d/E3D environments.
• Strong communication skills, a positive attitude, and collaborative, issue-resolving abilities.
• Capability to develop solutions to non-recurring problems by appraising and evaluating various precedents and data.
• Professional judgment in selecting and interpreting information, and modifying standard methods and procedures.
