About the Commercial Associate Role

Skilled Careers is partnering with a leading organization in the data centre sector to recruit a Commercial Associate. This full-time position is based in Dammam, Eastern Region, Saudi Arabia. The role offers an opportunity for a commercially minded professional to support the delivery of major mission-critical developments within a fast-paced project environment. Working closely with senior commercial leadership, the Associate will contribute to procurement, contract administration, commercial reporting, and governance across high-value construction projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the procurement process through the preparation of RFPs, RFQs, tender documentation, and procurement schedules.
  • Coordinate tender clarifications, bid submissions, commercial documentation, and meeting records.
  • Maintain procurement trackers, vendor databases, tender logs, and approval registers.
  • Assist with the preparation and administration of consultant appointments, service agreements, framework agreements, NDAs, and construction contracts.
  • Monitor contract status, key deliverables, variations, claims, and contract close-out activities.
  • Coordinate with Commercial, Legal, Finance, and Project teams to ensure accurate contract administration.
  • Support commercial governance by maintaining templates, procedures, approval workflows, and document control systems.
  • Prepare commercial reports, procurement dashboards, tender evaluations, and cost reporting for senior management.
  • Track purchase requests, commitments, budgets, and commercial risks.
  • Assist with pricing comparisons, bid evaluations, and recommendation reports.
  • Identify commercial risks, documentation gaps, and compliance issues, escalating where required.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, consultants, and contractors to ensure efficient and consistent delivery of commercial processes.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, Construction Management, Engineering, Procurement, Supply Chain, Business, Law, or a related discipline.
  • 2-5 years of experience within Commercial, Procurement, Contract Administration, Project Controls, or Construction Administration.
  • Previous experience supporting tendering, procurement, contract administration, and commercial reporting on construction or infrastructure projects.
  • Experience maintaining commercial documentation, approval workflows, procurement trackers, and vendor management processes.
  • A strong understanding of procurement procedures, contract administration, governance, and commercial compliance.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and document management systems.
  • Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Experience within data centres is highly desirable. Candidates from critical infrastructure sectors including power, utilities, hospitals, airports, telecoms, industrial, or complex MEP projects are also encouraged to apply.
  • GCC or Saudi Arabia experience is preferred.
