About the Role

Nahdi Medical Co. is seeking a qualified Dermatology Consultant to join their team in Dammam, Eastern Province, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position involves providing expert dermatological care, contributing to the enhancement of clinic services, and mentoring junior medical staff within a healthcare setting.

Role Overview and Responsibilities

As a Consultant in the Dermatology department, the role focuses on the comprehensive diagnosis and treatment of dermatological conditions. Key responsibilities include examining patients, taking medical histories, prescribing medications, and ordering, performing, and interpreting diagnostic tests. The consultant will counsel patients on diet, hygiene, and preventive healthcare, and provide second opinions and coaching for specialist and senior specialist physicians. Support will be provided to top management with recommendations for improving clinic services and staff development. The role also involves assessing patients, documenting findings, designing and executing patient care plans, and educating patients on their health conditions, treatment options, and health promotion. Adherence to Nahdi Care Clinics (NCC) policies, bylaws, strategic plan, rules, regulations, mission, vision, goals, and practice guidelines is essential. Participation in NCC Committees and Task Forces, adherence to CBAHI standards of care, and maintaining effective working relationships with other departments and stakeholders are also required. The consultant will also fulfill fire safety requirements, comply with clinical and departmental structure standards, and participate in continuous quality improvement activities to ensure clinical, MOH, and CBAHI quality standards are met. Professional development of junior staff, maintaining an evidence-based practice orientation, and integrating population factors into patient care are also key aspects of the role. The consultant will develop and support Continuing Medical Education programs and perform additional tasks based on specialty and clinical privileges granted by the Saudi Health Council guidelines. Providing second opinions for specialists and senior specialists to ensure knowledge sharing and adherence to best practices, and supporting the Medical Director in performance management processes are also integral to the position.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Medicine and Surgery from recognized universities.
  • Master's degree in a related specialty from recognized universities.
  • Fellowship/Board certification or Medical Doctor (MD) qualification.
  • A minimum of 5 years of clinical experience following the Medical Doctor (MD) qualification in the specialty, OR a minimum of 3 years of clinical experience following a Fellowship in the specialty.
  • Licensed as a Consultant in Dermatology from the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS).

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in Office software and Health Information Systems.
  • Fluent speaking and writing skills in both English and Arabic.

Work Environment and Schedule

This is a full-time position located in Dammam, Eastern Province, Saudi Arabia. The work environment is 100% indoors. The working schedule is 6 days per week with 1 day off, and working hours are 8 net working hours per shift, according to the schedule approved by the Head of Department.
