Field Services Engineer

About the Role

GE Vernova is seeking a Field Services Engineer to perform installation, inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair activities on equipment at customer sites in Dammam, Eastern region. This is a full-time position suitable for candidates with 0-1 years of experience. The role focuses on ensuring reliable equipment operation through preventive and corrective maintenance, coordination of resources, and effective communication with customers and internal teams.

Role Responsibilities

Working under the guidance of the operations team, the Field Services Engineer will follow established procedures, technical instructions, and safety standards. Key responsibilities include:

• Performing on-site installation, commissioning, refurbishment, startup, maintenance, troubleshooting, and upgrading of synchronous and induction machines, excitation and AVR systems, or variable speed drive systems.
• Responding to requests for emergency repairs and services.
• Providing technical instruction and assistance to customer representatives regarding installation, operation, calibration, repair, and maintenance at customer sites.
• Writing technical reports, ordering materials, securing quotations, and preparing job status reports, customer reports, time sheets, and expense sheets in a complete, timely, and thorough manner.
• Providing leadership and technical direction to skilled labor performing work on customer sites.
• Maintaining a strong safety mindset to ensure executed work reflects technical requirements within GE safety standards.
• Preparing timely and accurate technical reports for customer records and as a reference for future outages.

Required Experience

Candidates should have 0-1 years of experience in a relevant field. The role requires taking ownership of the quality and timely completion of assigned work.
