The Role of a Sales Engineer

Solutions Valley is seeking a Sales Engineer to join our team in Dammam, Eastern Region. This full-time role involves identifying new market opportunities, cultivating and expanding client relationships, and serving as a trusted advisor to ensure that Solutions Valley’s energy solutions align precisely with client needs. The Sales Engineer will develop a deep understanding of client business strategies and operations to identify growth opportunities and maximize revenue.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and develop new market opportunities, managing leads through to the closure of commercial agreements.
• Generate opportunities across Solutions Valley's business areas, including Electrical Infrastructure, Energy Efficiency, PV/BESS, E-Mobility, and Data & Digital solutions.
• Cover multiple market segments such as Industrial, Commercial, and Government.
• Build and maintain strategic, trusted relationships with key client stakeholders, understanding their business, strategy, and future projects.
• Develop and execute Account Plans to effectively manage clients, increase revenue, and maximize margins.
• Assist in the development and implementation of the sales strategy for the assigned market.
• Manage sales proposals, contractual agreements, and commercial terms.
• Provide regular updates on leads, sales funnels, and pipelines; prepare accurate revenue forecasts (annual, quarterly, monthly) and sales performance reports.
• Ensure timely and accurate updates within CRM or other approved tools.
• Understand procurement processes, requirements, and business models across different client segments.
• Identify value drivers and cost structures to support profitable and sustainable growth for Solutions Valley business units.
• Ensure all assigned client payments are collected on time.

Required Experience

Candidates for this role should possess 5 to 10 years of experience in a relevant sales engineering or specialist capacity. A proven track record in identifying opportunities, managing client relationships, and achieving sales targets within the energy or related sectors is essential. The role requires a strong understanding of complex sales cycles and technical solutions.

Work Environment and Collaboration

The Sales Engineer will operate within a collaborative and agile environment, working closely with the Proposal, Technical, Marketing, and Business Development teams. This collaboration is crucial for achieving revenue targets and driving business growth across various sectors.
