Job Description
About the Role
Hitachi Energy is seeking a Senior Quality Control Technician for a full-time position in Dammam, Eastern Region. This role involves ensuring the quality of incoming materials and components through rigorous inspection processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute assigned incoming inspection protocols and meticulously document all findings and results in SAP.
- Label compliant components with an identification tag upon successful inspection.
- Segregate non-compliant components in a designated area and initiate the supplier non-conformance management process.
- Conduct visual and dimensional inspections of purchased parts, materials, samples, and assemblies.
- Document inspection results accurately and create quality inspection records, applying visual indications as per procedures.
- Create and track Nonconformity reports, maintaining their status.
- Record and track the daily Incoming Quality Control (IQC) inspection backlog.
- Maintain traceability of component materials concerning their inspection status.
- Handle materials in accordance with procedures to prevent mix-ups, damage, or other adverse effects.
- Log and track materials through the receiving inspection process and SAP entries.
- Record transactions and move accepted materials to the designated area.
- Communicate inspection results to Quality Engineers and other relevant personnel.
- Verify the accuracy of assembly documentation and interpret engineering drawings.
- Collaborate with other departments for deviation detection, root cause analysis, and the implementation of corrective measures.
- Support failure analysis, troubleshooting, site visits, and quality processes, utilizing A3 templates for analysis.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma in Electrical or Mechanical technical courses.
- Experience in Quality Control/Quality Assurance.
- Proficiency in reading engineering drawings.
- Competence in MS Office and general computer skills.
- Hands-on experience with material inspection and the use of measurement tools.
- Effective English communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to influence continuous improvement, make decisions, and manage time effectively.
- A minimum of 5-10 years of relevant experience is required.
Work Environment and Safety
This role is based in Dammam and operates on a full-time basis. Employees are expected to ensure a safe working environment by implementing HSE requirements and handling materials in accordance with established procedures.
Additional Duties
Employees may be assigned additional projects or duties as necessary to fulfill the requirements of the job, as directed by management.
