About the Role

* Moller - Maersk is seeking a Solutions Design Coordinator SAA to join their team in Dammam, Eastern region. This full-time role is central to leading Maersk Project Logistics (MPL) Solution Design for customer pursuits that demand advanced engineering expertise. The Coordinator will be instrumental in designing solutions for new markets, encompassing both new geographies and customers, through close collaboration with business development and operations excellence teams. This position also supports the standardization and development of proof of concepts for automation initiatives, utilizing methodologies provided by global and regional teams, with a focus on continuous improvement. The Solutions Design Coordinator reports directly to the Area Head of MPL.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead solution design efforts, personally capturing core data and assumptions required for solution design, costing, and pricing for customers. This includes gathering all relevant customer insights for current pursuits and future upselling opportunities.
• Develop detailed solution designs, incorporating the scope of services, operating models, resource models, operating cost estimates, recommended selling prices, estimated client value, and draft P&L for Maersk.
• Calculate MPL size and scope requirements based on product data, primarily provided through customer RFQs.
• Create comprehensive process flows for key activities and provide engineering solutions with visualizations for proposed solutions as part of technical responses in RFQs.
• Maintain strong connections with LEAN and Business Process Engineering experts to ensure LEAN methodologies are effectively transferred to new commercial opportunities within the geographical scope.
• Provide innovative solutions and ideas to contribute to the creation of highly competitive offerings.
• Actively participate within the MPL Solution Design Community, capturing and sharing knowledge and best practices across the organization to support both short-term and long-term success.
• Contribute to the development of automation proof of concepts and guide Area Solution Design teams on new business opportunities, including RFP responses, strategic cross-country projects, CAPEX, presentation materials, and technical documentation.
• Drive knowledge sharing and capability building (L&D) activities for solution design within the broader organization, fostering an in-house talent pool with support from the People function.

Core Accountabilities

• Successful solution design for both new business and renewals within the designated geographical scope.
• Building and enhancing solution design capability within the geographical scope.
• Driving innovation and standardization initiatives within the geographical scope.
• Co-developing new customer solutions in collaboration with solution engineers from other Logistics & Services products.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 5-10 years of experience in designing solutions for core MPL verticals.
• Demonstrated expertise as an MPL solution engineer, possessing a deep understanding of process changes related to productivity and financial outcomes.
• Proven exposure to MPL or logistics operations, including implementation phases.
• Ability to innovate in reaching conclusions and formulating recommendations, even when working with limited or ambiguous data.
