We are seeking a Specialty Account Manager - Hepatology to join our team in Dammam, Saudi Arabia, in a full-time capacity.
Role Overview
The Specialty Account Manager - Hepatology will be responsible for managing GSK products across an assigned territory. This involves engaging with relevant internal and external stakeholders, delivering patient-focused detailing tailored for healthcare professionals (HCPs), and supporting product formulary enlisting to ensure expedited access in key accounts. The role holds accountability for achieving yearly sales targets within the assigned territory and requires assisting the line manager in implementing commercial strategies to drive performance through an end-to-end solutions-driven approach to account management.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement patient-focused detailing with strong product and disease knowledge, utilizing available collateral.
- Achieve sales targets and LEAD Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for the assigned territory, contributing to overall brand and therapy area objectives.
- Execute commercial strategies within a defined territory and offer appropriate solutions as a trusted advisor to HCPs.
- Monitor product performance weekly and monthly, recommending and executing actions through a robust territory business plan aligned with the commercial sales strategy.
- Support specific marketing tasks and drive the premium implementation of the annual operational plan.
- Develop market intelligence and initiate the forecasting process in alignment with commercial trade channel (CTC) and marketing teams to reflect actual market demand.
- Support the product supply process and coordinate with supply chain and CTC teams to ensure product availability and manage product shelf-life.
- Coordinate with the market access team to develop and implement access plans for the defined territory, establishing a clear access roadmap with key accounts.
- Conduct frequent and effective group doctors’ meetings (GDMs) to enhance disease and product education.
- Prioritize efforts and resources through robust market segmentation and targeting within the assigned territory to optimize activities.
- Establish long-lasting relationships with scientific societies and Key External Experts (KEEs) to leverage advocacy and support patient care across the region.
Qualifications and Experience
Required Qualifications:
- Saudi National.
- Pharmacy degree with a minimum of 2 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
- A Saudi Commission for Health Specialist (SCFHS) card is required.
- Demonstrated successful track record.
- Willingness and ability to travel across the assigned remote territory.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- Experience in Hepatology, Gastroenterology, or broader specialty care.
- New product launch experience.
- Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate high-quality, complicated scientific content.
- Ability to manage a larger geographical territory, with a proven record of good performance against agreed KPIs and PFSS quality implementation.
- Well-developed understanding of the CCC cycle and managing different stakeholders within the supply process, including distributor relations and the tender process.
- Well-developed commercial acumen, including sound business analytics, business case development, and commercial modeling.
- High commitment to ethical values-based management.
- Resilient, self-motivated, and persistent, with the ability to meet deadlines and perform effectively under pressure.
Work Environment
This is a field-based, on-site role located in Dammam, Saudi Arabia, requiring regular travel across the assigned territory. Hybrid working arrangements may be discussed based on business needs and local policy.
