About the Technician Role

GE Vernova is seeking a Technician to support final assembly operations for gas turbine components. This full-time position is based in Dammam, Eastern Province, and requires 2-5 years of experience. The role focuses on nozzle assembly and packing, with an emphasis on Lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform nozzle hardware installations according to approved work instructions, process specifications, and engineering requirements.
• Execute packing activities in compliance with approved procedures and packaging specifications.
• Read and interpret work instructions and quality forms to ensure accurate assembly and packing.
• Record and maintain accurate process data as required.
• Safely and effectively utilize installation tools, fixtures, packaging materials, and hand tools.
• Inspect parts before and after assembly and packing to verify conformance to quality standards.
• Adhere to Standard Work and Standard Work Combination Sheets for consistency, quality, safety, and efficient line flow.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area in accordance with 5S standards.
• Demonstrate and apply Lean principles in daily work activities.
• Actively participate in problem-solving, root cause analysis, and corrective action processes.
• Identify and communicate opportunities for continuous improvement in safety, quality, cycle time, flow, and waste reduction.
• Support improvements in standard work, line organization, visual management, and process discipline.
• Contribute to team efforts to enhance line performance, operational efficiency, and overall shop productivity.
• Work within takt time, cycle time, and standard process flow expectations to meet production goals.
• Utilize shop floor systems and interfaces such as ELM and SmartShop as needed.
• Comply with company quality policies, safety requirements, applicable procedures, and standard work.

Required Qualifications

• Diploma, technical college degree, or equivalent hands-on experience.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a technician, manufacturing, assembly, packing, or industrial role.
• Experience with grinding, including cutting, polishing, and hole opening.

Additional Strengths

• Minimum 2 years of experience with mechanical assembly processes.
• Minimum 2 years of experience with packing and material handling requirements.
• Experience participating in problem-solving or process improvement activities.
• Minimum 2 years of experience working with gas turbine components or other precision aerospace/industrial parts.
