About BAE Systems Saudi Arabia

BAE Systems Saudi Arabia maintains Royal Saudi Air Force (RSAF) aircraft and trains RSAF and Royal Saudi Naval Force personnel. The Aircraft Maintenance Supervisor Role
As an Aircraft Maintenance Supervisor based in Dhahran, you will play a key role in generating aircraft for the Royal Saudi Air Force customer. This full-time position operates within a challenging and rewarding environment, requiring a balance of complex engineering issue resolution with effective team management. The role involves significant interaction with various departments and organizations, including Supply Chain, Workshops, Quality, Product Safety, and MODSAP, while ensuring adherence to applicable rules and regulations.
Core Maintenance Responsibilities
- Perform First Stage/Mandatory and Independent certification of completed tasks by Maintenance Team Technicians, including Red-X clearance.
- Plan and coordinate scheduled aircraft maintenance activities (on and off aircraft) to meet the aircraft maintenance programme and RSAF operational requirements.
- Ensure work is carried out according to approved data, standards, and procedures detailed in the MOE.
- Prioritise tasks based on shop and aircraft schedules.
- Monitor and provide daily progress updates via agreed IT applications and verbal briefs.
- Highlight issues likely to impact the aircraft programme to the Team Leader/Maintenance Manager.
- Ensure timely and accurate information submission for AES and Technical Queries.
- Investigate and report on technical issues and accident/incident events.
- Maintain an effective housekeeping programme.
- Prepare for and cooperate with all internal/external audits.
- Ensure sound maintenance practices and documentation procedures are always followed.
Team Leadership and Development
- Limit overtime requirements through effective planning.
- Address poor performance and disciplinary matters.
- Ensure supervised personnel possess necessary knowledge and skills for tasks.
- Provide sufficient direct supervision to maintain quality standards.
- Plan shift patterns for effective manpower utilisation.
- Manage sickness and absence according to local policy.
- Provide on-the-job theory and practical training.
- Promote personal development for self and others.
- Assess team personnel competency and inform the Team Leader/Maintenance Manager of deficiencies.
- Certify personnel for specific tasks when certified as a ‘Workplace Trainer’.
- Establish and maintain positive relations with TSS’s internal and external customers.
- Ensure accurate information flow to and from the designated area of responsibility.
Supply Chain and Equipment Management
- Ensure strict tool control in accordance with procedures.
- Verify personnel authorisation/certification before delegating tasks.
- Ascertain that pre-use checks are carried out on equipment used in supervised tasks.
- Ensure accurate and timely demands for replacement components/parts.
- Accurately record required by and impact dates for demands.
- Monitor forecast dates for demands against the project plan and flag critical items.
- Highlight demands likely to impact the maintenance programme to the Team Leader/Maintenance Manager.
- Ascertain availability of serviceable and calibrated test equipment for planned tasks, informing the Operations Team Leader if unavailable.
Required Qualifications and Experience
Candidates for this role must demonstrate a minimum of 10 years of experience in aircraft maintenance or a closely related field. Essential requirements include:
- The ability to tow aircraft and supervise an aircraft towing team.
- Holding 2nd signature authority.
- A strong understanding of applicable rules, regulations, and maintenance procedures.
