About the Faculty Position

King Fahd University of Petroleum & Minerals (KFUPM) invites applications for full-time faculty positions within the Department of Mathematics. These roles are available at the Assistant, Associate, and Full Professor levels in Mathematics, Statistics, and Actuarial Science. The university is located in Dhahran.

Specialization Focus

While applications across all areas of Mathematics, Statistics, and Actuarial Science are welcome, particular consideration will be given to candidates demonstrating expertise in Data Science and Financial Mathematics. This focus aligns with the department's strategic research and educational objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in relevant fields.
• Advise and mentor students at various academic levels.
• Supervise Master of Science (MS) and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) theses and dissertations.
• Develop and secure funding for research programs appropriate to the area of specialization.

Required Qualifications

• A conferred ** or an equivalent international doctoral degree is mandatory.
• Junior candidates should exhibit outstanding promise in research, coupled with strong interest and ability in teaching at both graduate and undergraduate levels.
• Senior candidates must demonstrate a proven record of excellence in research and a strong commitment to both graduate and undergraduate teaching.
