Job Description

About the Role

Eram Talent is seeking a competent and experienced HSE Coordinator to support drilling operations in both onshore and offshore environments in Saudi Arabia. This role is critical for ensuring strict adherence to Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) standards, conducting inspections and audits, and promoting a robust safety culture across all operational activities. The ideal candidate will contribute to maintaining a safe working environment, mitigating risks, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and company policies within the oil and gas sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure full compliance with company, client, and international HSE standards and regulations across all drilling operations.
  • Monitor and enforce safety practices and procedures on onshore and offshore drilling rigs.
  • Conduct regular HSE inspections, comprehensive audits, and detailed risk assessments to identify potential hazards.
  • Identify non-compliance issues and implement effective corrective and preventive actions.
  • Support and monitor well control processes and drilling safety systems.
  • Inspect and verify the condition and compliance of marine safety equipment, ensuring adherence to SOLAS requirements.
  • Oversee safety aspects of offshore operations, including the safe management of helicopter movements.
  • Lead and participate in incident investigations, utilizing methodologies such as TapRoot® or equivalent to determine root causes.
  • Prepare detailed reports on safety performance, incident findings, and audit outcomes.
  • Provide HSE guidance and deliver training to drilling crews, contractors, and stakeholders.
  • Promote a proactive safety culture and drive continuous improvement initiatives in HSE practices.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
  • Mandatory NEBOSH IGC certification.
  • Proven experience in onshore and offshore drilling operations within the oil and gas industry.
  • Strong knowledge of well control processes and drilling equipment.
  • Certification in incident investigation; TapRoot® or equivalent experience is preferred.
  • Familiarity with international standards such as API, ANSI, and OSHA.
  • Good understanding of marine regulations, SOLAS, and offshore safety requirements.
