About the HSE Officer Role

Aggreko, a global leader in engineered energy solutions, is seeking an experienced HSE Officer to join our team in Riyadh. This full-time position involves supporting operations at our depot and customer/project sites. The role is crucial for developing, maintaining, and implementing the company's Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Management System, ensuring safe systems of work and fostering a strong safety culture across all organizational levels.

Role Purpose and Scope

The HSE Officer is responsible for providing essential HSE guidance and supporting operational processes to continuously improve safety performance. This role ensures compliance with business objectives, contractual terms, and the Integrated Management System, contributing to both short-term and long-term organizational needs. The position requires a proactive approach to maintaining and enhancing safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and enhance Health, Safety, and Environment performance in accordance with local legislation, regulations, and company policies.
  • Liaise and coordinate with Project Managers, Location Managers, Service Managers, and Service Team Leaders to ensure adherence to Aggreko's HSE policies and Management System.
  • Conduct thorough investigations into all HSE-related incidents and collaborate with local management and the QHSE Officer (KSA) to implement corrective action plans.
  • Coordinate HSE requirements with suppliers and service providers in conjunction with the QHSE Officer (KSA).
  • Deliver local HSE inductions to all relevant staff and sub-contractors.
  • Liaise with stakeholders to prepare Risk Assessments and Method Statements as per the scope of work.
  • Support the sales team and customer representatives by assisting with Pre-Qualification questionnaires and required documentation.
  • Assist with audits and inspections as required, in coordination with the QHSE Officer (KSA).
  • Conduct site visits to local customer locations when requested.
  • Monitor vehicle trackers and dashcams, coordinating installation, removal, and data retrieval as needed.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Possession of NEBOSH IGC and IOSH safety management qualifications is mandatory.
  • A minimum of three years of experience in ensuring HSE for (electro)mechanical industrial work.
  • Demonstrated experience in ensuring safety at depots and customer premises in field operations.
  • Knowledge and ideally experience with short-cycle delivery projects, such as large events.
  • Knowledge or experience within the oil and gas sector is considered a plus, but not essential.
  • A valid local driving license is required.
  • Availability for frequent travel within KSA as required.
  • Fluent command of the English language.
  • Must be a Saudi Arabian citizen.
  • Must be based at or nearby Riyadh, KSA.

Work Environment and Location

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The role involves regular engagement with operations at the local depot and frequent travel to customer sites across the Kingdom. The work environment demands a strong focus on safety and compliance within industrial and project settings.
