About the Territory Manager Role at DHL Express

DHL Express, a global leader in cross-border express delivery, is seeking a Territory Manager to join its team in Dhahran, within the Eastern region. This full-time position reports directly to the Direct Sales Manager and is responsible for driving revenue generation within a geographically assigned sales portfolio. The role focuses on developing, servicing, and retaining existing customers, as well as actively acquiring new business opportunities.

Key Accountabilities

• Act as an ambassador for DHL, addressing customer needs professionally and courteously.
• Develop and maintain a high level of professional rapport with all customers.
• Follow up on customer enquiries and direct them to the appropriate DHL department for further information.
• Take ownership of service failures and ensure timely resolution by the correct personnel to handle customer complaints efficiently.
• Analyze figures and reports to identify trends and issues, taking appropriate action to maximize revenue.
• Liaise with all internal departments responsible for customer interactions.

Sales and Business Development

• Maintain a regular call cycle with existing DHL customers to build strong, multi-level relationships and sustain existing sales revenue.
• Probe and understand customer needs and requirements to identify how DHL’s service offering can add value to their business.
• Identify potential and negotiate with existing customers to maximize their use of DHL’s services, generating additional profitable sales revenue.
• Source and action new business leads, persuading potential customers to utilize DHL services to generate additional profitable revenue.
• Monitor credit issues, liaise with the Customer Accounting Department, and take necessary action to ensure collection of outstanding payments.
• Update and maintain call details on COMET, ensuring appropriate IBS forms are updated for future reference and monitoring.

Required Experience and Qualifications

Candidates for this role should possess 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in sales, account management, or business development, preferably within the logistics or express delivery sector. A proven track record of revenue generation, customer retention, and new business acquisition is essential.
