About the Unit Manager Canteen Role

Almarai is seeking a Unit Manager for its Canteen operations in Ha'il, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position involves the efficient management of accommodation and six satellite site canteens to ensure high standards of service for site employees.

Key Responsibilities

The Unit Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of canteen operations. Key duties include:

  • Ensuring adherence to best catering practices, focusing on food quality, freshness, taste, temperature control, and the cleanliness of food services provided to site employees.
  • Managing food costs effectively and minimizing food wastage without compromising the quality of catering services.

Required Qualifications and Experience

Candidates for this role must meet the following criteria:

  • A Bachelor's degree in any discipline from a reputable university.
  • Formal qualification in Hotel Management.
  • A minimum of 5 to 7 years of experience in Catering Services, specifically for sites supporting over 750 residents and remote industrial or oil/gas operations.
  • Exposure to computer systems and the SAP environment.
  • Familiarity with HACCP / Food Safety ISO 22000 standards, and an understanding of Microbiology / Pathogens risk.
  • Excellent spoken and written English proficiency.
