About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Agricultural Engineer to join our team in Jeddah, Mecca Al-Mukarramah. This is a full-time position focused on contributing to agricultural projects and operations.

Core Responsibilities

• Study the physical and chemical properties and components of agricultural soils.
• Follow up on examining plant, soil, and irrigation water samples and analyzing their results.
• Study and test suitable types of fertilizers and evaluate the response of crops to them.
• Study irrigation systems and select the most appropriate ones, such as surface, sprinkler, pivot, or drip irrigation.
• Design irrigation and agricultural drainage networks and follow up on installation procedures.
• Evaluate the efficiency of irrigation systems and develop them.
• Identify suitable agricultural machinery such as plowing, planting, spraying, and harvesting machinery, and grain crushing and mixing machinery.
• Prepare operating and maintenance programs for machinery and ensure their readiness.
• Develop work methods and procedures and keep pace with technical developments.
• Prepare specialized documents and reports, present and clarify them, and save them in their database according to approved policies and procedures.

Key Duties and Tasks

• Study the characteristics and components of agricultural lands and soils.
• Prepare designs and plans for agricultural irrigation and drainage networks and follow up on their installation.
• Identify suitable agricultural machinery for performing agricultural tasks and develop their uses.
• Prepare specialized documents and reports on the results of the work.

Qualifications and Experience

The ideal candidate will have between 2 to 5 years of experience in agricultural engineering. A strong understanding of soil science, irrigation systems, and agricultural machinery is essential for this role.

This is a full-time position based in Jeddah, within the Mecca Al-Mukarramah region.
