About the Service Associate - Reservation Agent Role
Shangri-La Hotel in Jeddah is seeking a Service Associate - Reservation Agent to join their team. This full-time position involves providing a high level of service to guests, ensuring customer satisfaction, and maximizing booking opportunities. The role requires a proactive approach to understanding and promoting the hotel's offerings.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop a thorough understanding of the hotel's room products, including layout, features, benefits, and amenities, to effectively present different room types and meet specific guest needs.
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of the hotel's rate structure, including public rate offers, and articulate the value proposition of these offers during the sales process.
- Be well-informed about all hotel facilities and services, and actively promote them to potential bookers.
- Stay updated on any changes or new developments within the hotel's product offerings.
- Handle incoming reservation requests and correspondence, confirming or declining bookings based on Availability, Rates, and Inventory (ARI) strategy, and provide timely responses.
- Manage telephone sales and process reservations for all Food and Beverage outlets.
- Undertake additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.
Qualifications and Experience
- A minimum of 1 year of relevant working experience in a hotel environment.
- Previous experience in a Reservations environment is considered a plus.
- A collegiate-level degree is required.
Required Skills and Attributes
- Fluency in both written and spoken English and Arabic.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, including Excel and Word.
- Strong attention to detail.
- A genuine passion for delivering excellent customer service.
- A professional telephone manner and strong communication skills.
- Good administration and organizational abilities.
- Intermediate computer proficiency.
- Ability to work effectively with other departments to meet customer needs.
- A team player mentality.
Work Schedule and Flexibility
The role requires the ability to work long hours and adapt to different shifts. Flexibility in covering shifts is essential for this position.
