About the Opportunity

Panda Retail Company, part of the Savola Group, is seeking a Category Management Associate for the Home Care Paper & Disposables category. This full-time position is based in Jeddah, Makkah, Saudi Arabia, and is ideal for professionals with 0-1 years of experience looking to contribute to a dynamic retail environment.

Role Overview

The Category Management Associate plays a crucial support role within the Category Management team, focusing on the Home Care Paper & Disposables segment. This position involves assisting in various aspects of category management, from vendor negotiations and pricing strategies to promotional activities and product availability, ensuring alignment with sales objectives and company guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Category/Assistant Category Manager in negotiating annual supply agreements with vendors, adhering to company guidelines.
• Support the Category Manager in recommending product categories and implementing category plans in line with sales budgets and forecasts.
• Aid in negotiating and administering cost and retail price settings to optimize product margins.
• Contribute to managing the total commercial margin by assisting in deal negotiations and follow-ups with vendors, ensuring effective implementation.
• Analyze and follow up on the product sourcing process with vendors, completing all necessary formalities.
• Support vendor relationship management by providing periodic performance feedback.
• Participate in promo optimization processes, including supplier brief communication, item selection, internal promo communication, forecasting, sign-off, and post-promo review and action.
• Contribute to category availability improvement by assisting in setting Minimum Facing Quantity (MFQ) and Minimum Display Quantity (MDQ).
• Support category footfall improvement through planogram implementation.

Qualifications and Experience

• 0-1 years of professional experience, preferably in retail, merchandising, or category management.

Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement

The role requires active collaboration with various internal and external stakeholders to achieve category objectives. Key internal relationships include:

• Category Management Team
• Supplier Management Team
• Marketing Team
• Operations
• Supply Chain
• Private Label
• Finance Department

Externally, the associate will engage directly with Suppliers/Vendors to manage agreements and foster productive relationships.
