Key Responsibilities

• Prepare special meals, substitute items, and cold foods according to recipes, quality standards, and presentation guidelines.
• Regulate temperatures of cooking equipment such as ovens, broilers, grills, and roasters.
• Manage food thawing processes from freezer storage to refrigeration.
• Ensure proper portioning, arrangement, and garnishing of all food items.
• Monitor and maintain the quality and quantity of prepared food, including keeping accurate food logs.
• Inform the Chef of excess food items for daily specials and communicate menu specials or out-of-stock items to Food & Beverage service staff.
• Perform physical tasks including standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods; reaching overhead and below the knees; and moving, lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling objects weighing up to 25 pounds without assistance.

Operational Standards and Team Collaboration

• Communicate effectively with team members, especially during busy periods, to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
• Assist management with various employee-related tasks such as hiring, training, scheduling, evaluation, counseling, disciplining, motivating, and coaching, serving as a role model.
• Adhere to all company, safety, and security policies and procedures, reporting maintenance needs, accidents, injuries, or unsafe conditions promptly.
• Maintain a clean and professional uniform and personal appearance, protect company assets, and ensure confidentiality of proprietary information.
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues, supporting team goals and responding appropriately to concerns.
• Anticipate and address guests’ service needs, using clear and professional language in all interactions.

Required Qualifications

• A Technical, Trade, or Vocational School Degree.
• At least 3 years of related work experience in a culinary role.
• No supervisory experience is required for this position.
