About the Role

Mujahid Page is seeking a Cost Accountant to join our team in Makkah, with operations spanning Jeddah and Makkah. This full-time role is ideal for a professional with 0-1 years of experience in cost accounting. The Cost Accountant will be central to managing product costing, inventory valuation, variance analysis, and cost control across our PVC pipes and aluminum façade manufacturing operations. This position provides critical support to management in achieving cost optimization, informed pricing decisions, and margin improvement through accurate and timely cost data.

Core Responsibilities

The Cost Accountant will be responsible for a range of financial activities crucial to our manufacturing processes. Key areas of focus include developing and maintaining cost structures, managing inventory and work-in-progress, supporting financial planning, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal controls.

Costing and Manufacturing Analysis

  • Develop and maintain standard and actual costs for PVC pipes, aluminum profiles, façade systems, and related accessories.
  • Analyze Bills of Material (BOMs), production routings, and costs related to extrusion, fabrication, coating, and installation processes.
  • Perform detailed variance analysis for material, labor, and overhead, recommending corrective actions as needed.

Inventory and Financial Control

  • Monitor and value raw materials (PVC resin, additives, aluminum billets, glass, accessories), Work-In-Progress (WIP), and finished goods inventory.
  • Reconcile inventory records with physical counts and production reports.
  • Track and analyze scrap, wastage, rework, yield, and efficiency across extrusion and fabrication lines.
  • Support the preparation of manufacturing budgets and cost forecasts.
  • Compare actual versus budgeted costs and highlight significant variances.
  • Assist in Capital Expenditure (CAPEX) evaluations for machinery, molds, dies, extrusion lines, and fabrication equipment.
  • Maintain costing modules within ERP systems, including SAP, Oracle, or ERPNext.
  • Ensure compliance with IFRS, VAT regulations, and internal cost control policies.
  • Support internal and external audits, particularly concerning inventory and manufacturing costs.

Reporting and Management Support

  • Prepare monthly cost reports, dashboards, and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for management review.
  • Support product pricing, quotation costing, and margin analysis for various projects and tenders.
  • Provide relevant cost insights and data to production, procurement, and sales teams to aid decision-making.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will possess 0-1 years of experience in a cost accounting role, preferably within a manufacturing environment. A solid understanding of costing principles, inventory valuation, and variance analysis is essential. Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or ERPNext) and knowledge of IFRS and VAT compliance are also required. The role demands strong analytical capabilities and meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy in all cost-related data and reports.
