Key Responsibilities Overview

The EBC Group Conference & Events Sales Manager is accountable for driving sales, fostering client relationships, and ensuring operational efficiency in booking and event management. This position requires a proactive approach to identifying and securing new business while maintaining high standards of customer service and market awareness.

Building Relationships and Generating Sales

• Collaborate with off-property sales channels to ensure sales efforts are coordinated, complementary, and not duplicative.
• Develop and strengthen relationships with existing and new customers through sales calls, entertainment, FAM trips, and trade shows to enable future bookings.
• Cultivate relationships within the community to strengthen and expand the customer base for sales opportunities.
• Manage and develop relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
• Provide accurate, complete, and effective business turnover to Event Management for seamless service delivery.

Sales Management and Market Insight

• Participate in sales calls with members of the sales team to acquire new business and close deals.
• Execute and support the operational aspects of booked business, including generating proposals, writing contracts, and managing customer correspondence.
• Identify new business opportunities to achieve personal and location revenue goals.
• Understand the overall market, including competitors’ strengths and weaknesses, economic trends, and supply and demand, to develop effective sales strategies.
• Close the most advantageous opportunities for the location based on market conditions and specific needs.
• Gain an understanding of the location’s primary target customer and service expectations to offer tailored business solutions.

Customer Service Excellence

• Support the company’s service and relationship strategy, driving customer loyalty by delivering service excellence throughout each customer experience.
• Service existing customers to grow their share of account business.
• Execute and support the company’s customer service standards.
• Provide excellent customer service consistent with the daily service basics of the company.
• Set a positive example for guest relations.
• Interact with guests to obtain feedback on product quality and service levels.
