About the Enterprise Data Architect Role

E-Solutions is seeking an experienced Enterprise Data Architect to join our team in Jeddah. This full-time position requires a professional with over 10 years of experience in data architecture to lead and govern critical data initiatives.

Core Responsibilities

  • Govern the end-to-end Data Lakehouse architecture, ensuring consistency across ingestion, storage, processing, consumption, and governance layers.
  • Define and validate the target state Medallion Architecture (Bronze, Silver, Gold) in alignment with enterprise architecture principles.
  • Ensure robust architectural patterns for batch, near real-time, and historical data processing.
  • Review and approve low-level designs, data flows, and integration patterns across platforms including Cloudera Data Platform, Teradata Enterprise Data Warehouse, Informatica, and Denodo.
  • Perform architectural assessment and validation of deliverables, identifying gaps and defining remediation strategies.
  • Govern the implementation of logical and physical data models aligned to FSLDM and FSAS aggregation standards.
  • Ensure alignment with NDMO, NDI, and data classification, privacy, and security standards.
  • Oversee metadata, lineage, data quality, and auditability design, ensuring architecture supports regulatory reporting.
  • Define architecture patterns for high availability, horizontal scalability, and disaster recovery.
  • Review and guide performance tuning strategies for data workloads.
  • Act as the primary architectural interface with IT, Data Governance, Security, and Business teams.
  • Participate in architecture review boards and governance forums, articulating architectural decisions to senior stakeholders.

Technical Expertise and Experience

  • Strong experience in Enterprise Data Architecture, including EDW modernization, Data Lake/Lakehouse architectures, and Medallion architecture patterns.
  • Deep understanding of BFSI data domains and enterprise reference models such as FSLDM and FSAS.
  • Hands-on architectural exposure to Cloudera CDP (HDFS, Spark, Hive, Kafka), Teradata Vantage, Informatica (ETL - BDM, Power Exchange CDC), Kafka, and Denodo.
  • Proven experience designing governance-driven architecture including metadata, lineage, data quality frameworks, security, masking, and encryption.
  • Expertise in performance optimization, scalability, capacity planning, and resilience, backup, and recovery design.
  • 15+ years of experience in data architecture roles, preferably within large BFSI organizations.
  • Proven track record in large-scale data platform transformation programs.
  • Experience working in hybrid delivery models with onsite and offshore teams.
  • Architecture certification(s) or an advanced data engineering background is preferred.

Governance and Compliance Acumen

The role requires a strong understanding of regulatory and compliance-driven data platforms. You will ensure architectural alignment with national data management standards and oversee the design for metadata, lineage, data quality, and auditability to meet regulatory reporting, traceability, and reconciliation requirements.

Collaboration and Communication

This position demands strong communication and stakeholder management skills. You will lead cross-vendor and cross-functional technical discussions and engage effectively with IT, Data Governance, Security, and Business teams. A governance mindset with a pragmatic delivery orientation is essential.

This is a full-time position based in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
