Dar Al Akeeli is seeking a dedicated Fiber Optic Technician to join our team in Jeddah. This is a full-time position within our specialized telecommunications projects division, offering an opportunity to contribute to critical infrastructure development.

Role Overview

The Fiber Optic Technician will play a key role in the deployment and maintenance of fiber optic networks. This position involves hands-on technical work, ensuring the efficient and reliable operation of telecommunications systems in various field environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform fiber splicing using Fusion Splicer equipment to connect and terminate fiber optic cables.
• Conduct comprehensive testing of fiber optic networks and components using OTDR equipment.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to fiber optic cable performance and connectivity.
• Execute cable pulling operations in accordance with project specifications and safety standards.
• Adhere to all safety procedures and guidelines while performing field work.

Qualifications and Experience

• 0-1 years of experience in fiber optic work, or recent graduate status with relevant foundational knowledge.
• Basic knowledge of fiber splicing principles and techniques.
• Familiarity with cable pulling, testing, and troubleshooting methodologies.

Technical Skills and Attributes

• Proficiency in the use of Fusion Splicer and OTDR equipment.
• Willingness to work in various field environments.
• Demonstrated commitment to adhering to safety procedures.
• Cooperative training or field experience in FTTH / FTTx projects is preferred.
