Overview of the HSE Manager Role

Egis is seeking a HSE Manager to join our consulting firm in Jeddah, Makkah, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role requires 5-10 years of relevant experience. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining comprehensive health, safety, and environment programs. This involves ensuring alignment with Saudi Arabia’s regulatory requirements and international best practices, working collaboratively with clients and internal teams to identify risks, ensure compliance, and foster a strong safety culture across all operations.

HSE Program Development and Risk Management

The HSE Manager will lead initiatives to establish and uphold robust health, safety, and environmental standards. Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and implementing HSE policies, procedures, and programs in compliance with Saudi Arabian labor laws, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Conducting comprehensive risk assessments and hazard analyses to identify potential workplace hazards and recommend effective mitigation strategies.
  • Collaborating with clients to develop and execute HSE improvement initiatives and sustainability programs.

Compliance, Audits, and Incident Management

A core aspect of this role involves ensuring adherence to HSE standards and managing incidents effectively. Responsibilities include:

  • Performing safety audits and inspections at client facilities to ensure adherence to HSE standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Investigating workplace incidents and accidents, performing root cause analysis, and implementing corrective and preventive actions.
  • Preparing and maintaining HSE documentation, records, and reports required for regulatory compliance and internal audits.
  • Serving as a liaison between clients, regulatory authorities, and internal stakeholders on HSE matters.

Consulting, Training, and Continuous Improvement

The HSE Manager will provide expert guidance and drive continuous improvement in safety practices. This includes:

  • Providing HSE consulting services to clients, including compliance reviews, gap analyses, and customized safety program development.
  • Delivering HSE training programs and awareness sessions to client personnel and internal staff on safety protocols and best practices.
  • Monitoring and analyzing HSE performance metrics, trends, and KPIs to measure program effectiveness and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Staying current with changes in Saudi Arabian and international HSE regulations, standards, and industry developments.
  • Supporting proposal development and client presentations related to HSE consulting services.

Candidate Profile

We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical professional with 5-10 years of experience in Health, Safety, and Environment management. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of Saudi Arabian regulatory frameworks and international best practices, coupled with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders to drive a robust safety culture.
