About the Role

Centro Shaheen is seeking a Materials Buyer to join their team in Jeddah. This full-time position is suitable for individuals with 0-1 years of experience who are passionate about delivering exceptional customer service and providing effective solutions in procurement.

Role Overview

As a Buyer, your primary responsibility is to procure all daily system-allocated and authorized purchase requests, including both storeroom and direct items, in accordance with established procedures and in the best interest of the property. This role requires meticulous attention to detail and adherence to set protocols.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor the system daily to complete all administrative procedures related to received requests and orders.
• Review purchase requests, seeking clarification on data, descriptions, units, quantities, and specifications as needed.
• Request and negotiate quotations to secure the best prices and quality for all orders, ensuring optimal delivery schedules, and forwarding them for approval.
• Manage the daily market list, allocating orders, checking new items for price and availability, and obtaining necessary approvals before vendor order confirmation.
• Ensure all approved and authorized purchase orders are promptly forwarded to the relevant vendors via fax or delivery.
• Verify and follow up on all pending orders, both approved and under approval, using system reports and escalating any concerns.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies in price, quantity, and quality upon delivery of vendor orders.
• Review and update all personally entered (locked) price quotations, quote validity, and supplier data within the system.

Qualifications and Experience

This role requires a candidate with 0-1 years of experience in a relevant field. A foundational understanding of procurement processes and systems is beneficial.
