About the Mathematics Department Head Role

Teach East is seeking experienced Mathematics Department Heads for multiple international schools located in Makkah, specifically in Jeddah and Makkah. Role Context and Objectives

The Mathematics Department Head will be responsible for overseeing the mathematics curriculum, supporting teaching staff, and driving the development and growth of the mathematics department. This role is crucial for ensuring the delivery of high-quality education and fostering a positive learning environment within the school.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Mathematics Department.
• Support and develop high-quality teaching and learning practices within the department.
• Oversee curriculum development and implementation for mathematics.
• Foster departmental growth and improvement.
• Provide leadership and guidance to mathematics teaching staff.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience is required.
• Proven experience in a Head of Department, middle leadership, or senior departmental role.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field.
• A Master’s degree or relevant professional qualification is considered an advantage.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Superb English fluency is essential.
• Arabic language skills would be an advantage.
• Strong IT skills, including proficiency with MS Office.
• Experience with project management tools, ERP systems, or school management systems is a plus.
