About the Role

Delta Hotels and Resorts® is seeking a dedicated Mgr Food & Beverage I to lead all food and beverage operations. This full-time position is based in Makkah, Saudi Arabia, serving guests across the Makkah and Jeddah regions. The role encompasses all culinary, restaurant, beverage, and room service operations, focusing on guest and employee satisfaction, maintaining high standards, and achieving financial goals. Candidates should possess 5-10 years of relevant experience in the food and beverage industry.

Core Responsibilities

• Oversee all culinary, restaurant, beverage, and room service operations.
• Develop and implement the business plan for the food and beverage departments.
• Ensure knowledge and proficiency of all applicable food and beverage laws and regulations.
• Manage day-to-day operations, driving quality and verifying standards meet customer expectations.
• Comply with all corporate accounting procedures.
• Analyze information and evaluate results to identify optimal solutions and solve problems.
• Drive effective departmental communication and information systems through logs, department meetings, and property meetings.

Financial Management

• Develop and manage all financial plans and actions for Food and Beverage departments.
• Maintain a positive cost management index for kitchen and restaurant operations.
• Utilize budgets to understand and achieve financial objectives.

Team Leadership and Development

• Supervise and manage employees across the Food and Beverage departments.
• Utilize interpersonal and communication skills to lead, influence, and encourage others, advocating sound financial/business decision-making and demonstrating honesty/integrity.
• Create and nurture a property environment that emphasizes motivation, empowerment, teamwork, continuous improvement, and a passion for service.
• Provide proactive coaching, counseling, and guidance to team members and subordinates, including setting performance standards and monitoring performance.
• Conduct performance reviews in a timely manner and promote fair treatment and open door policies.
• Identify developmental and educational needs of others, and facilitate improvement of knowledge and skills through coaching, mentoring, or formal training programs.
• Develop action plans based on employee engagement and guest satisfaction results to address areas for improvement and expand on strengths.
• Set clear expectations with employees and team leaders, ensuring appropriate recognition for exceeding expectations.

Guest Service Excellence

• Provide excellent customer service and respond quickly and proactively to guest concerns.
• Understand the brand's service culture and drive alignment of all employees, team leaders, and managers to it.
• Set service expectations for all guests, both internal and external.
• Take ownership of guest complaints until resolved or addressed by the appropriate manager or employee.
• Verify all banquet functions meet standards and exceed guest expectations.
• Improve service by communicating and assisting individuals to understand guest needs, providing guidance, feedback, and individual coaching when needed.
• Serve as a role model to demonstrate appropriate behaviors.

Required Experience and Skills

• A minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience in food and beverage operations management.
• Demonstrated knowledge and proficiency of all applicable food and beverage laws and regulations.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively lead, influence, and encourage teams.
• Ability to understand employee positions well enough to perform duties in their absence.
