About the NOC Engineer Role

LanceSoft Middle East is seeking a qualified NOC Engineer for a full-time position located in the Makkah Region, specifically in Jeddah and Makkah. This role requires 2-5 years of experience in network operations and monitoring within the telecommunications sector.

Key Responsibilities

The NOC Engineer will be responsible for the continuous monitoring of critical network components and service pathways. This includes:

• Monitoring signaling pathways to ensure service continuity.
• Overseeing routing behavior and SIM flows to maintain network integrity.
• Tracking OSS hooks and cross-core interactions that impact satellite services.

Required Qualifications and Experience

Candidates should possess the following qualifications:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Computer Science, Electronics, or a related technical field.
• 2–5 years of experience in NOC operations, telecom monitoring, satellite operations, or core-network support.
• Demonstrated experience with signaling flows, routing tables, authentication paths, or mobile-core elements.
• Hands-on exposure to multi-vendor NOC environments, incident workflows, and partner escalations.

Technical Expertise

Proficiency in the following technical areas is essential:

• Strong understanding of signaling protocols (*, Diameter, SIP, NAS), routing fundamentals, and core-network behavior.
• Knowledge of telecom connectivity flows, including SIM activation, attach procedures, mobility, and authentication.
• Experience analyzing logs, traces, routing tables, and performing event correlation across network elements.
• Familiarity with OSS/NMS tools, alarms, KPIs, dashboards, and monitoring platforms.
• Hands-on experience with Linux, basic scripting (Python/Bash), and troubleshooting tools.
• Basic understanding of satellite network components, gateways, or hybrid RAN-core flows is considered a plus.

• Strong analytical skills for diagnosing issues under pressure.
• Excellent communication skills for coordination with internal teams and external partners.
• High attention to detail and disciplined documentation practices.
• Adaptability to shift-based schedules and fast-paced incident environments.
• Proficiency with NOC and OSS/NMS tools (*, Zabbix, Grafana, SolarWinds), logging tools (*, Splunk, Kibana), and packet analysis tools (*, Wireshark).
• Experience with ticketing/ITSM tools (*, ServiceNow, Jira) and strong working knowledge of Excel and documentation tools.
• Certifications in networking (CCNA, CCNP, JNCIA, JNCIS) or telecom operations are advantageous.
