About the Role

Johnson Controls Arabia is seeking a Planning Engineer to join their team in Jeddah. This full-time position involves implementing improvement plans and monitoring their progress to ensure desired results are achieved in a timely manner. The role typically supports a Continuous Improvement (CI) Manager within a plant or specific geographical area.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement improvement plans and monitor their progress.
• Ensure updates achieve desired results and are implemented promptly.
• Set and achieve daily operational objectives with direct impact on others within the area.
• Occasionally set and deliver operational objectives with direct impact on achieving results within the area.
• Explain facts, practices, and policies primarily to internal stakeholders.
• Adapt or enhance existing methods to improve quality or value as part of daily activities.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's Degree is required.
• A minimum of 1 year of relevant experience is suggested.
• Alternatively, a 2-year degree combined with 6 years of suggested minimum experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, will be considered.

Required Skills and Attributes

• Ability to understand and consider other job areas when addressing vaguely defined problems.
• Proficiency in applying broad theory and principles within a discipline or advanced technical/operational practices.
• Capacity to integrate advanced knowledge and skills within a specific discipline with organizational practices.
• Ability to influence internal stakeholders to accept new concepts, practices, and approaches where strong interest exists.

Work Environment and Scope

This is an individual contributor role with no direct responsibility for leading others. The application of knowledge is primarily domestic, limited to locations within a country or neighboring countries with similar cultural contexts.
