We are seeking a Senior Data Science Consultant – Cards Marketing Analytics to join our team in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, on a contract basis.

Role Overview

This role involves leveraging advanced analytics and predictive modeling to drive marketing strategies specifically for credit and debit card portfolios. The Senior Data Science Consultant will play a pivotal role in delivering actionable insights to client teams, focusing on banking analytics, particularly within cards marketing. The position requires a consulting discipline, including structured problem-solving, ownership, and timely delivery in a client-facing engagement.

Key Responsibilities

• Build predictive models to identify customer targeting opportunities, enhance spend growth, improve retention, and reduce churn.
• Develop customer segmentations for credit and debit card portfolios to support lifecycle marketing, campaign strategy, and personalization efforts.
• Analyze campaign performance across various segments, products, channels, and customer behaviors, delivering actionable insights.
• Design test-and-learn frameworks, including control groups, campaign measurement logic, and post-campaign performance reviews.
• Collaborate with client teams to ensure analytical outputs are practical, explainable, and ready for business adoption.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum of 7–8 years of experience in data science, advanced analytics, or analytics consulting.
• Strong banking experience, specifically with credit card and debit card products.
• Proven expertise in marketing analytics, predictive modeling, customer segmentation, campaign analytics, and portfolio analytics.
• Ability to clearly communicate analytical outputs to business stakeholders and prepare senior-level presentations, reports, and documentation.
• Experience working with marketing, product, risk, and data teams within a banking environment.
• Comfortable working as a contractor on a client-facing engagement in Saudi Arabia.

Technical Skills and Analytical Expertise

• Proficiency in Python, SAS, and SQL.
• Hands-on experience working with large banking datasets, including customer profiles, card transactions, and campaign history.
• Strong understanding of statistical modeling, machine learning, model validation, and performance tracking.

Preferred Attributes

• Current location in Saudi Arabia, ideally Jeddah.
• Experience in the Saudi or GCC banking market.
• Exposure to card lifecycle analytics, including acquisition, activation, usage, spend growth, retention, and attrition.
• Familiarity with campaign management platforms, CRM systems, or marketing automation tools.
• Experience with A/B testing, uplift modeling, next-best-action, offer optimization, or customer lifetime value models.
• Knowledge of cloud-based data platforms and modern analytics environments.
