About the Role

Salla is seeking a Senior Product Data Analyst to join its team in Jeddah, Makkah Province. This is a full-time position focused on leveraging data to inform and enhance product development. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with Product Managers, Engineers, Designers, and the Data team to translate customer behavior and product performance insights into actionable decisions.

Role Context and Impact

This role involves end-to-end ownership of analytics for a specific product area. Responsibilities range from defining success metrics and measurement plans to analyzing experiments, monitoring product launches, and providing recommendations for next steps. Given the complexity and scale of Salla's products, the role requires an experienced analyst who can quickly learn new domains, synthesize information from incomplete inputs, and make rigorous decisions efficiently, even with ambiguous data.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with product teams to translate questions and hypotheses into clear Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and success criteria.
• Own analytics across key product journeys, including funnels, feature adoption, engagement, conversion, retention, and segmentation.
• Conduct deep-dive analyses to diagnose performance changes, uncover root causes, and recommend product opportunities.
• Design and analyze A/B tests and impact evaluations, covering metric selection, guardrails, validation checks, and decision recommendations.
• Develop and validate tracking plans for new features.
• Measure product launches and build dashboards and self-serve tools for monitoring product health.
• Communicate findings, business impact, and trade-offs clearly, while contributing to team best practices and supporting junior analysts.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 4 years of experience in product analytics, data analytics, or a related role within a technology or digital-product environment.
• Advanced SQL skills and practical experience working with large, complex datasets.
• Strong understanding of product metrics, including funnels, cohorts, conversion, retention, and feature adoption.
• Hands-on experience with product experiments and a solid understanding of hypothesis testing, confidence intervals, statistical power, and common A/B-testing pitfalls.
• Experience with event-based product data, tracking plans, implementation validation, and data-quality checks.

Essential Skills and Attributes

• Proficiency with a Business Intelligence (BI) tool such as Looker, Metabase, or Tableau.
• Working knowledge of Python or R for data analysis.
• Strong product judgment and the ability to manage analytical work independently in ambiguous situations.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to influence product decisions through data-driven insights.
