The Role: Site Architectural Engineer

MMR is seeking a Site Architectural Engineer to join its team. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Jeddah, Makkah, responsible for overseeing the architectural aspects of construction projects. The role involves managing projects from initial design coordination through to on-site execution, ensuring alignment with project specifications and quality standards. Candidates should possess 0-1 years of relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Review architectural drawings and ensure their alignment with structural and civil designs.
• Monitor construction activities to verify compliance with specifications, safety standards, and quality requirements.
• Collaborate with project managers, site engineers, contractors, and designers to resolve technical issues effectively.
• Coordinate fit-out details and provide support for design changes as required throughout the project lifecycle.
• Conduct daily site inspections and prepare comprehensive progress reports.
• Inspect materials and workmanship to ensure adherence to quality standards.
• Support the timely delivery of projects while adhering to budgetary constraints.
• Liaise with clients and internal stakeholders to ensure aesthetic and functional objectives are achieved.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• 0-1 years of experience in site-based roles within general contracting or design & build projects.
• Strong architectural skills, including the ability to interpret drawings, coordinate design details, and ensure aesthetic and functional integration on site.
• Project management capabilities, including planning, scheduling, stakeholder coordination, and monitoring of progress and resources.
• Knowledge of Civil Engineering principles, particularly in structural coordination, site work, and understanding of construction materials and methods.
• Construction-related experience, including on-site supervision, quality control, safety awareness, and familiarity with local building codes and standards.
• Effective teamwork skills, including clear communication, collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, and constructive problem-solving.
• Proficiency in architectural and engineering software such as AutoCAD, Revit, or similar programs.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced site environment.

Beneficial Experience

• Experience in interior fit-out and finishing projects.
• Knowledge of high-end materials and finishes.
• Familiarity with Saudi regulations and construction standards.

Work Environment

This is a full-time, on-site role requiring presence at project locations primarily in Jeddah and Makkah. The position involves active participation in construction site activities and collaboration with various project stakeholders.
