Role Overview

Marriott Hotels & Resorts is seeking a full-time Supervisor-Systems /IT to join their team in Jeddah. This position is exclusively open to Saudi Nationals and requires 2-5 years of relevant experience. The Supervisor-Systems /IT is responsible for troubleshooting and resolving technical problems related to computer software and systems, providing essential technical guidance, and implementing process improvements across various IT functions.

Core Technical Responsibilities

The primary duties of this role involve managing and maintaining the integrity and functionality of IT systems and applications. Key responsibilities include:

• Troubleshooting and resolving technical problems or issues related to computer software and systems.
• Providing technical guidance and recommendations to resolve business problems.
• Analyzing, recommending, and implementing process improvements within IT operations.
• Entering commands and activating controls on computer and peripheral equipment to integrate and operate systems.
• Troubleshooting, modifying, supporting, managing, and maintaining applications programs and user accounts.
• Maintaining accurate records of daily data communication transactions, problems, remedial actions, or installation activities.
• Training or instructing users in the proper use of hardware or software.
• Managing and coordinating planning, design, operations, maintenance, and resource allocation of telecommunications activities, including client/server support and strategic and tactical planning.
• Consulting with and advising others on administrative policies and procedures, technical problems, priorities, and methods related to telecommunications.

Leadership and Operational Support

In addition to technical duties, the Supervisor-Systems /IT will contribute to team development and uphold company policies. Responsibilities in this area include:

• Assisting management in various HR functions, including hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, disciplining, motivating, and coaching employees.
• Serving as a role model and the first point of contact for the Guarantee of Fair Treatment/Open Door Policy process.
• Developing and maintaining positive working relationships with colleagues and supporting team goals.

Workplace Conduct and General Duties

The role requires adherence to company standards and active participation in improving operational efficiency.

• Following all company policies and procedures and protecting company assets.
• Communicating professionally and clearly with all stakeholders.
• Ensuring adherence to quality expectations and standards in all tasks.
• Identifying, recommending, developing, and implementing new ways to increase organizational efficiency, productivity, quality, safety, and/or cost-savings.
• Visually verifying information and utilizing computers/Point of Sale (POS) systems for data entry and retrieval.
• Performing other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.

Required Experience

Candidates for this Supervisor-Systems /IT position must possess 2-5 years of experience in a relevant IT or systems supervision role. This role is open exclusively to Saudi Nationals.

Physical Requirements

The role involves certain physical tasks as part of daily operations:

• Performing physical tasks such as moving, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and placing objects weighing less than or equal to 10 pounds without assistance.
