About the Role

Business Umbrella is recruiting for a Supply Chain Director to join a leading education group, specializing in Higher Education and EdTech, based in Saudi Arabia. This is a full-time position located at the group's headquarters in Jeddah, Makkah, with a direct reporting line to the Chief Operating Officer or CEO. The role is open exclusively to Saudi nationals.

Role Purpose and Scope

The Supply Chain Director is responsible for leading the end-to-end supply chain strategy for the education group. This encompasses the procurement of academic and operational supplies, managing logistics for multi-campus distribution, overseeing vendor relationships, and implementing ERP-driven inventory control. The primary objective is to ensure cost efficiency and maintain uninterrupted campus operations throughout the academic calendar.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the supply chain P&L and design comprehensive sourcing, warehousing, and distribution strategies for textbooks, lab/IT equipment, furniture, and campus consumables.
  • Coordinate multi-campus demand planning, aligning with academic term cycles, including enrolment surges and term-start restocking.
  • Serve as the primary interface between Procurement, Finance, Facilities, and Academic Operations departments.
  • Drive the rollout of ERP (SAP/Oracle) supply chain modules and ensure data governance in collaboration with the ERP Director.
  • Ensure full compliance with Saudi Ministry of Education (MOE) and Ministry of Health (MOH) regulations, customs procedures, and Saudization quota requirements.
  • Negotiate framework agreements with key suppliers for categories such as furniture, IT, catering, and transport.
  • Report monthly KPIs to the CEO on service levels, cost savings, inventory turns, and supplier performance.
  • Develop business continuity and crisis plans to mitigate supply disruptions in advance of each academic year.

Candidate Profile and Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess over 10 years of experience in supply chain management, preferably within the education or a related sector. This role requires a Saudi national with a proven track record in strategic supply chain leadership, ERP system implementation, and regulatory compliance within Saudi Arabia.

Compensation and Employment Details

This full-time position offers a competitive monthly salary ranging from SAR 35,000 to SAR 55,000. The role is based at the group's headquarters in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
