About the ICU Registrar Role

We are seeking a dedicated ICU Registrar to join our critical care team in Medina. This full-time position involves actively participating in the management of critically ill patients, ensuring high-quality medical care through continuous monitoring, timely interventions, and effective collaboration with senior physicians. A commitment to professional development, clinical excellence, and adherence to hospital standards is essential for success in this role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver primary medical care for Intensive Care Unit (ICU) patients.
  • Diagnose and manage a wide range of acute and chronic critical conditions.
  • Perform routine clinical assessments and examinations.
  • Develop and implement individualized patient treatment plans.
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment as required.
  • Respond promptly to medical emergencies and provide urgent interventions.
  • Maintain precise and comprehensive patient records, documenting all clinical activities.
  • Communicate clearly and compassionately with patients, families, and the healthcare team, providing understandable explanations of conditions and treatments.
  • Collaborate effectively with consultants, residents, nurses, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Participate in medical rounds, case discussions, and team meetings.
  • Uphold high standards of professionalism, ethics, and patient confidentiality.
  • Demonstrate cultural sensitivity and respect for diverse backgrounds.
  • Stay updated with current medical guidelines, research, and best practices.
  • Engage in ongoing medical education and professional development programs.
  • Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • MBBS or equivalent degree from a recognized medical school.
  • Master’s degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant specialty.
  • Membership/Fellowship in a Royal College (or equivalent), meeting registrar criteria.
  • Valid certificate fully recognized by the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS).
  • Mandatory Dataflow verification.
  • Minimum of 2 years of post-qualification specialized experience in ICU within a reputable hospital or recognized medical center.

Work Setting

This is a full-time position based in Medina. The role requires close collaboration within a multidisciplinary critical care team.
