About the Accountant Role

Salla, a prominent e-commerce platform, is seeking an aspiring Accountant to join its Finance team in Makkah. This full-time position is part of the Tamheer Program, designed to support Saudi nationals in developing their careers through valuable training and practical workplace experience. This opportunity is ideal for recent graduates looking to build a foundational understanding of accounting operations within a dynamic technology environment.

Key Responsibilities

The Accountant will support the Finance team with various accounting functions. Key duties include:

• Assisting in the review and analysis of financial statements.
• Performing bank reconciliations and supporting general ledger maintenance.
• Recording journal entries for accrued expenses and revenue.
• Maintaining and updating fixed asset records and schedules.
• Reviewing assigned expenses, payroll records, and supporting documentation.
• Updating financial data in systems and databases to ensure accuracy and availability.
• Preparing and supporting weekly and monthly financial reports.
• Assisting in month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Supporting senior accountants with accounting projects, reporting, and ad hoc finance tasks.
• Helping to ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and documentation standards.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates for this role should possess the following qualifications:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial data analysis.
• Proven ability to manage multiple deadlines and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational skills with experience maintaining accurate records and documentation.
• The ability to work independently with minimal supervision and collaborate effectively within teams.
• Demonstrated attention to detail in transaction processing, account reconciliations, and discrepancy resolution.
