About the Role
Marriott Hotels & Resorts is seeking an Agent-Guest Relations to join their team. This is a full-time position requiring 0-1 years of experience.
Core Responsibilities
The Agent-Guest Relations will be responsible for providing guests with information and directions regarding property amenities, services, operating hours, and local points of interest. This role involves coordinating with various departments, such as Bellperson, Front Desk, Housekeeping, Engineering, and Security, to address and resolve guest requests or issues promptly. A key aspect of the role is following up with guests to ensure their satisfaction with resolved matters.
- Receiving, recording, and relaying messages accurately and legibly.
- Responding to special requests from guests with unique needs.
- Communicating VIP arrivals to designated personnel for personalized service and amenity delivery.
Guest Interaction and Service Standards
This role requires upholding company standards in all guest interactions. This includes welcoming and acknowledging all guests with professionalism, anticipating and addressing their service needs, and expressing genuine appreciation. Effective communication is essential, involving speaking clearly and professionally and answering telephones with appropriate etiquette. Developing and maintaining positive working relationships with colleagues to support team goals is also a critical component.
Operational Compliance and Professional Conduct
Adherence to all company policies and procedures is mandatory. This includes reporting any accidents, injuries, or unsafe working conditions to management. Maintaining a clean and professional uniform and personal appearance is expected. Confidentiality of proprietary information and protection of company assets are also key responsibilities. The role requires compliance with quality assurance expectations and standards.
Continuous Improvement and Physical Requirements
Candidates are encouraged to identify and recommend new ideas, technologies, or processes to enhance organizational efficiency, productivity, quality, safety, and cost-savings. The physical demands of the role include standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods. Employees may be required to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 10 pounds without assistance. Performing other reasonable job duties as requested by supervisors is also part of the role.
