We are seeking an Assistant Quantity Surveyors Cost Engineer to join our team in Jeddah, Makkah, Saudi Arabia.
Primary Surveying Duties
The Assistant Quantity Surveyors Cost Engineer will be responsible for conducting precise surveys and reviewing critical data. This includes using electronic distance-measuring equipment and other surveying instruments to ascertain the locations of natural features and human-made structures across various terrains, including surface, underground, and underwater environments.
Data Management and Reporting
This role involves comprehensive data handling and reporting. Key tasks include:
- Operating and managing land-information computer systems for data storage, inquiries, and report generation.
- Reviewing information from survey teams regarding measurements of distances, directions, angles between points, and elevation of points, lines, and contours.
- Recording survey results, verifying data accuracy, and preparing detailed plots, maps, and reports.
Boundary Research and Problem Solving
The position also requires analytical skills for boundary determination and addressing complex issues. Responsibilities include researching legal records, identifying evidence of previous boundaries, and analyzing data to accurately determine boundary lines. The individual will receive general direction on new assignments and contribute to solving complex problems of diverse scope.
Experience and Work Environment
Candidates for this full-time position should possess 5-10 years of relevant experience. The role is based in Jeddah, Makkah, Saudi Arabia, contributing to projects that impact infrastructure development in the region.
Onboarding and Employment Conditions
As a condition of employment, all newly hired employees are required to attend an in-person Day 1 onboarding session at an AECOM office location.
