About the Role
Panda Retail Company, part of the Savola Group, is seeking an Assistant Shopper Marketing Manager for its Food division. This full-time position, based in Jeddah, Makkah, Saudi Arabia, focuses on the strategic development and execution of shopper marketing initiatives within a leading retail environment. The role requires an individual who can utilize customer insights and marketing expertise to enhance brand perception and improve promotional effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Brand Manager in monitoring and analyzing promotional activities and customer perception, collaborating with category management and strategic buying teams to identify areas for improvement and ensure alignment with brand objectives.
- Ensure all offers and promotions strictly comply with established format policies.
- Implement and manage the promotion process efficiently.
- Execute promotions and marketing activities, ensuring alignment with brand identity and customer perception, in collaboration with the Brand Manager.
- Implement marketing events and participate in their planning stages.
- Ensure all marketing activities adhere to agreed brand identity guidelines.
- Execute marketing and communication strategies in line with the format's strategic direction.
- Oversee the proper delivery and execution of all assigned tasks and initiatives.
- Participate in defining and developing the brand and marketing strategy, cascading it to direct teams for implementation and monitoring progress towards agreed deliverables.
- Contribute to the development of the yearly "Action Plan" calendar for each format, based on the approved marketing strategy for formats and categories.
- Ensure all in-store communication is executed according to the agreed strategy to foster a pleasant customer experience.
- Monitor the effective execution of the In-Store Communication Strategy.
- Assure the development and implementation of an activation plan to support the format's shopping mission and value proposition.
- Ensure internal processes are in place for the workflow between the in-house agency and the marketing brand team.
- Sign off on marketing campaigns and leaflets, verifying that designs, promotions, and messages meet event objectives.
- Participate in the production of TV advertisements, newspaper, radio, and digital media, liaising with art designers, copywriters, media buyers, and printers.
- Collaborate with and brief third-party agencies on upcoming themes, promotions, activities, and plans.
- Execute tactical, seasonal, and national marketing activities, providing regular feedback to teams on key implementation issues.
- Execute the promotion plan and coordinate regularly with category management and the in-house agency.
- Adhere to and ensure the maintenance of brand guidelines across all executed activities.
- Participate in the development of promotional themes in partnership with Category Management, Operations, and the Growth & Business Development team.
- Monitor the implementation of agreed brand positioning and perception across all marketing activities within their assigned format.
- Work closely with Category Management and Operations teams, providing them with appropriate tools, materials, and communication to help them achieve their objectives.
- Execute agreed action plans that support the implementation and objectives of category management strategies.
- Execute and agree on support plans for new store openings, monitoring performance until maturity is achieved.
- Manage and monitor rationalization within promotional activities.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Fluency in both spoken and written Arabic and English.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Familiarity with email software, specifically Outlook.
- Experience: 5-10 years.
