About the Role

Le Méridien Hotels & Resorts is seeking a Cashier for Food & Beverage Services in Mecca, Makkah, Saudi Arabia. This contract position involves managing all payment methods, ensuring accurate cash handling, and maintaining a professional and organized workstation. The role requires 0-1 years of experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Process all payment methods in accordance with Accounting procedures and policies.
• Adhere to property control audit standards and cash handling procedures, including blind drops.
• Obtain and verify assigned bank, ensuring accuracy of contracted monies and securing the bank at all times.
• Obtain necessary change for expected business levels.
• Count the bank at the end of each shift, complete designated cashier reports, and resolve any discrepancies.
• Drop off receipts and secure the bank.
• Transport the bank to and from the assigned workstation.
• Set up and organize the cashier workstation with designated supplies, forms, and resource materials.
• Maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of the workstation at all times.
• Complete opening duties, including setting up necessary supplies and tools, and ensuring all equipment is in working order.

Operational Duties

• Follow all company safety and security policies and procedures.
• Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to management.
• Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional.
• Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets.
• Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards.
• Anticipate and address guests’ service needs, and thank guests with genuine appreciation.
• Communicate with others using clear and professional language.
• Answer telephones using appropriate etiquette.
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues and support the team in achieving common goals.
• Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards.
• Enter and locate work-related information using computers and/or point-of-sale systems.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods of time.
• Ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 10 pounds without assistance.

Qualifications

• 0-1 years of experience in a similar role.
• Proficiency in processing various payment methods.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale systems.

Work Environment

This is a contract position based in Makkah, Saudi Arabia, within the hospitality sector at Le Méridien Hotels & Resorts. The role involves direct interaction with guests and adherence to established company and safety protocols.
