The Opportunity: Enterprise / Data Architect

TCS is seeking an experienced Enterprise / Data Architect to join our team in Jeddah or Makkah. This full-time role requires a professional with 5-10 years of experience to lead and govern complex data architecture initiatives, ensuring robust, scalable, and compliant data solutions for our clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Own and govern the end-to-end Data Lakehouse architecture, ensuring consistency across data ingestion, storage, processing, consumption, and governance layers.
• Define and validate the target state Medallion Architecture (Bronze, Silver, Gold) in alignment with enterprise architecture principles.
• Ensure architectural consistency and seamless integration across Cloudera Data Platform, Teradata Enterprise Data Warehouse, Informatica (ETL, Data Quality, Metadata), and Denodo (Data Virtualization & Consumption).
• Perform architectural assessment and validation of Phase 1 deliverables, including data pipelines, logical/physical data models, and Gold layer aggregations, identifying gaps and defining remediation strategies.
• Govern the implementation of logical and physical data models aligned to FSLDM (Financial Services Logical Data Model) and FSAS aggregation standards.
• Ensure alignment with NDMO (National Data Management Office), NDI (National Data Index), and client data classification, privacy, and security standards.
• Define architecture patterns for high availability (≥** uptime), horizontal scalability, disaster recovery, and point-in-time restore.
• Act as the primary architectural interface with client IT, Data Governance, Security, and Business teams, participating in architecture review boards and governance forums.

Required Technical Expertise

• Strong experience in Enterprise Data Architecture, including EDW modernization, Data Lake/Lakehouse architectures, and Medallion architecture patterns.
• Deep understanding of BFSI data domains and enterprise reference models such as FSLDM and FSAS.
• Hands-on architectural exposure to Cloudera CDP (HDFS, Spark, Hive, Kafka), Teradata Vantage, Informatica (ETL), and Denodo.
• Proven experience designing governance-driven architectures, including metadata and lineage, data quality frameworks, security, masking, and encryption.
• Expertise in non-functional design aspects such as performance and workload optimization, scalability, capacity planning, resilience, backup, and recovery design.

Qualifications and Professional Skills

• A minimum of 5-10 years of experience in data architecture roles.
• Proven track record in large-scale data platform transformation programs.
• Experience working effectively in hybrid delivery models with both onsite and offshore teams.
• Strong understanding of regulatory and compliance-driven data platforms.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to lead cross-vendor and cross-functional technical discussions.
• Possession of an architecture certification(s) or an advanced data engineering background is preferred.
