About the Exploration Director Role

Everhires is seeking an Exploration Director for its client, a leading provider of mining and geological services. This full-time executive position is based at the client's Head Office in Jeddah, Makkah, Saudi Arabia. The Director will report directly to the Chief Executive Officer and be responsible for leading and expanding the mineral exploration consulting business across Saudi Arabia and international markets.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive commercial growth, define market strategy, and expand the consulting service portfolio to include exploration, resource evaluation, geotechnical, and environmental/ESG services.
• Provide strategic oversight for target generation, drilling programs, and resource evaluation, ensuring alignment with international best practices (JORC, NI 43-101, S-K 1300).
• Oversee complex client engagements, manage project performance metrics (scope, schedule, budget), and foster an accountability-driven consulting culture.
• Mentor senior exploration geologists and technical consultants, establishing clear succession plans and capability development frameworks.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor of Science in Geology, Economic Geology, Geological Engineering, or a related discipline. A Master of Science is preferred.
• Minimum of 15 years of progressive mineral exploration experience.
• At least 8 to 10 years of this experience must be within a reputable geological or mining consulting firm.
• Active registration as a Professional Geologist or equivalent (*, ***, CGeol, ********, AusIMM, SME) is highly desirable.

Essential Selection Criterion

Candidates must have previously held a senior technical or management leadership position within an established geological or mining consulting firm. Experience limited exclusively to owner-operator or mining companies, without consulting leadership experience, will not meet the qualification requirements for this role.

Location and Mobility

This full-time position is based in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. The role requires availability for both domestic and international travel as needed.
