About the Role
Panda Retail Company – Savola Group is seeking a Head of Non-Food Private Brand to lead the strategic development, growth, and profitability of its Private Brand portfolio across assigned categories. This full-time position is based in Makkah, with responsibilities spanning Jeddah and Makkah. The role requires 5-10 years of experience and focuses on driving sales growth, margin, quality, and customer trust in alignment with Panda’s commercial objectives and SFDA regulatory standards.
Role Purpose and Scope
The Head of Non-Food Private Brand is accountable for translating category strategies into competitive assortments, establishing strong supplier partnerships, overseeing product launches, and optimizing product ranges. This leadership position ensures that Private Brand initiatives contribute effectively to the company's overall commercial goals and maintain adherence to regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute Private Brand category and business strategies to achieve agreed sales, penetration, margin, and quality targets.
- Manage the end-to-end Private Brand development process, including product briefs, specifications, benchmarking, supplier sourcing (local and import), cost negotiation, and launch execution.
- Oversee annual business plans, budgets, and forecasts for assigned categories, ensuring delivery against financial Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Lead range architecture, innovation pipelines, and launch plans that are aligned with Panda’s overall category strategies.
- Analyze sales data, margin performance, rate of sale, and customer feedback to optimize range performance and recommend necessary corrective actions.
- Manage strategic supplier relationships and conduct commercial negotiations to secure optimal cost structures, service levels, and quality standards.
- Coordinate with cross-functional stakeholders, including Buying, Quality, Regulatory, Supply Chain, Packaging, and Marketing, to ensure aligned and timely execution of initiatives.
Qualifications and Experience
Candidates should possess a university degree in Business Management, Marketing, or a related field. The role requires a minimum of 7+ years of experience within the FMCG/CPG retail or manufacturing sectors. Demonstrated responsibility in Private Brand or category management, product development, sourcing, and commercial negotiations is essential.
