About the Role

Courtyard by Marriott in Makkah, Saudi Arabia, is seeking a Hotel Cleanliness Supervisor to ensure high standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction. This is a full-time position for candidates based in Saudi Arabia.

Key Responsibilities

The Hotel Cleanliness Supervisor is responsible for inspecting guest rooms, public areas, and the pool to ensure they meet quality standards after cleaning by housekeeping staff. This role involves managing daily housekeeping activities, acting as a liaison between departments, and resolving any room status discrepancies with the Front Desk. The supervisor will also prepare and communicate room assignments and ensure issues are communicated to the next shift, along with completing all required paperwork.

Team Leadership and Operations

This position assists housekeeping management with hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations of employees. The supervisor must ensure adherence to all company policies, safety, and security procedures, and report any maintenance issues, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries. Completing safety training and certifications is also a requirement. Maintaining a professional appearance and demeanor, protecting company assets, and ensuring confidentiality of proprietary information are essential.

Guest Service Standards

A key aspect of this role is upholding company standards for guest service. This includes welcoming and acknowledging all guests, anticipating and addressing their service needs, and assisting individuals with disabilities. The supervisor is expected to thank guests with genuine appreciation, communicate clearly and professionally with others, and develop positive working relationships. Responding appropriately to employee concerns and ensuring quality expectations are met are also critical functions.

Physical Requirements

The role requires the ability to perform various physical tasks. This includes moving, lifting, carrying, and placing objects weighing up to 55 pounds without assistance, and over 55 pounds with assistance. The supervisor must be able to push and pull loaded housekeeping carts and other equipment over uneven surfaces. Tasks also involve reaching overhead and below the knees, bending, twisting, pulling, stooping, and standing, sitting, kneeling, or walking for extended periods. Fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination are needed for manipulating objects, and the ability to enter and locate work-related information using computers or point-of-sale systems is necessary. Reading and visually verifying information in various formats is also part of the job.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates should possess a high school diploma or *** equivalent. A minimum of 1 year of related work experience is required, along with at least 1 year of supervisory experience. No specific licenses or certifications are mandated for this role.
