About the Hotel Cleanliness Supervisor Role

Courtyard by Marriott in Makkah is seeking a dedicated Hotel Cleanliness Supervisor to oversee the quality of housekeeping services. This full-time position requires a candidate with 5-10 years of experience in a similar role, committed to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

The Hotel Cleanliness Supervisor is responsible for ensuring that all guest rooms, public areas, and other designated spaces meet the hotel's quality standards. This involves conducting thorough inspections after cleaning by housekeepers and addressing any deficiencies promptly.

• Inspect guest rooms, public areas, and pool facilities to ensure adherence to quality standards.
• Manage sold room reports, verify room statuses, identify discrepant rooms, and prioritize cleaning schedules.
• Assist Housekeeping management with daily operational activities.
• Serve as a liaison to coordinate efforts between Housekeeping, Engineering, Front Office, and Laundry departments.
• Document and resolve issues related to discrepant rooms with the Front Desk.
• Prepare, distribute, and communicate room assignment changes.
• Communicate pertinent issues and updates to the next shift.
• Complete all required administrative paperwork accurately.

Team Leadership and Support

This role involves supporting housekeeping management in various human resources functions. The supervisor will contribute to the development and performance of the housekeeping team.

• Assist management in hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, motivating, and coaching employees.
• Foster positive working relationships with colleagues and respond appropriately to employee concerns.
• Ensure adherence to quality expectations and established standards.

Operational and Safety Compliance

Adherence to company policies, safety procedures, and professional conduct are essential aspects of this position.

• Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures.
• Report any maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries.
• Complete required safety training and certifications.
• Maintain a clean and professional uniform and personal appearance.
• Protect company assets and maintain the confidentiality of proprietary information.
• Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards, anticipating and addressing service needs.
• Assist individuals with disabilities and thank guests with genuine appreciation.

Physical Requirements and Abilities

This role requires the ability to perform various physical tasks necessary for effective supervision and inspection of hotel cleanliness.

• Ability to move, lift, carry, and place objects weighing up to 55 pounds without assistance, and over 55 pounds with assistance.
• Ability to push and pull a loaded housekeeping cart and other work-related machinery over sloping and uneven surfaces.
• Capability to reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
• Capacity to stand, sit, kneel, or walk for extended periods throughout a work shift.
• Skill in grasping, turning, and manipulating objects of varying size and weight, requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
• Proficiency in entering and locating work-related information using computers and/or point of sale systems.
• Ability to read and visually verify information in various formats, including small print.
• Willingness to perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.
