About the Role

Marriott International is seeking a Hotel Cleanliness Supervisor to join their team in Mecca, Makkah, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role is central to maintaining the highest quality standards across guest rooms, public areas, and the pool. The supervisor will manage room status, coordinate efforts between various departments, and support Housekeeping management in daily operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect guest rooms, public areas, and pool areas to ensure adherence to quality standards.
• Manage room status by running reports, verifying discrepancies, and prioritizing cleaning schedules.
• Coordinate effectively with Housekeeping, Engineering, Front Office, and Laundry departments.
• Document and resolve room-related issues in collaboration with the Front Desk.
• Prepare, distribute, and communicate changes in room assignments.
• Communicate relevant operational issues to the subsequent shift.
• Complete all required paperwork accurately and promptly.
• Assist management with various HR functions, including hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, motivating, and coaching employees.
• Report any maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries.
• Welcome and acknowledge guests according to company standards, anticipate service needs, and assist individuals with disabilities.
• Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or *** equivalent.
• At least 1 year of related work experience.
• At least 1 year of supervisory experience.
• No specific license or certification is required for this position.

Physical Demands

The role requires the ability to perform various physical tasks throughout the work shift. This includes moving, lifting, carrying, and placing objects weighing up to 55 pounds independently, and heavier objects with assistance. Candidates must be capable of pushing and pulling loaded housekeeping carts and other machinery over varied surfaces. The position involves reaching overhead and below the knees, bending, twisting, pulling, stooping, and standing, sitting, kneeling, or walking for extended periods. Fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination are necessary for grasping, turning, and manipulating objects. The ability to use computers and/or point-of-sale systems, and to read and visually verify information in various formats, is also essential.

Professional Standards and Conduct

The Hotel Cleanliness Supervisor is expected to adhere to all company, safety, and security policies and procedures, including completing necessary safety training and certifications. Maintaining a clean and professional uniform and personal appearance is mandatory. The role requires speaking with others using clear and professional language, developing and maintaining positive working relationships with colleagues, and listening and responding appropriately to the concerns of other employees. Ensuring adherence to quality expectations and standards is a core responsibility, alongside performing other reasonable job duties as requested by supervisors.
