About the Role

Uvera is seeking a Junior Electrical Engineer to join its team. This full-time position, based in the Makkah region, specifically across Jeddah, Makkah, and Thuwal, requires 2-5 years of relevant experience. The role involves contributing to the design, prototyping, testing, and maintenance of IoT-enabled devices.

Role Contribution

The Junior Electrical Engineer will collaborate with experienced engineers specializing in hardware, firmware, and product design. This position is central to applying electrical engineering principles to real-world challenges within IoT technologies, focusing on ensuring device performance and reliability.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, prototype, and test electronics hardware and embedded systems for IoT devices.
• Develop and validate firmware for microcontrollers and sensors.
• Perform PCB design, soldering, and troubleshooting of electronic circuits.
• Conduct testing and data collection to ensure device performance and reliability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate hardware, firmware, and software components.
• Maintain inventory tracking for electronic components and assist in ensuring component availability.
• Execute preventive maintenance and calibration of production equipment.
• Prepare technical documentation, assembly instructions, and testing procedures.

Qualifications and Preferred Skills

• 2-5 years of experience in electrical engineering or a related technical field.
• Familiarity with Linux builds (*, Yocto Project) or embedded Linux development is preferred.
• Exposure to cloud IoT platforms (*, AWS IoT Core) is considered an advantage.
• Experience with PLC programming and integration is beneficial.

Work Location

This full-time position is located within the Makkah region, covering operations in Jeddah, Makkah, and Thuwal.
