About the Role

Rotana Hotels is seeking a dedicated Kitchen Technician to join its team in Mecca, Makkah, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role is essential for maintaining the operational efficiency of all kitchen equipment within the hotel, contributing to seamless service delivery and guest satisfaction.

Position Summary

The Kitchen Technician is responsible for performing all assigned kitchen equipment maintenance tasks under the guidance of the General Mechanical Supervisor. This position requires strict adherence to established Hotel policies and procedures to ensure safety, functionality, and longevity of equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure that all kitchen equipment is properly maintained and serviced to prevent breakdowns and uphold operational standards.
• Perform preventive maintenance and complete equipment turn-over tasks quickly and efficiently to meet guest needs.
• Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and be available in case of emergency, applying appropriate actions as per Hotel policy and standards.
• Operate in a safe and environmentally friendly manner to protect the health and safety of guests and colleagues, as well as to conserve the environment.
• Comply with all hotel environmental, health, and safety policies and procedures.

Qualifications and Experience

• Ideally, a licensed high/low pressure boiler operator.
• Previous experience in a similar maintenance role.
• Proven knowledge in the operation of equipment such as steam engines, generators, motors, turbines, and/or steam boilers.
• A good command of English.
• Ability to diagnose faults and rectify subsystems effectively.
