Role Overview
As a GA Maintenance Automation Engineer, you will focus on optimizing and maintaining automated systems on the General Assembly line, ensuring peak performance and reliability. You will be an integral part of our engineering team, working closely with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives and maintain safety standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on automated systems, including PLCs, HMIs, sensors, and robotic arms.
  • Troubleshoot automation-related issues to minimize production downtime.
  • Modify PLC programs and robotic routines to enhance equipment performance.
  • Support the installation of new automated equipment in the GA line.
  • Keep detailed documentation of automation systems.
  • Train maintenance technicians on automation systems and troubleshooting.
  • Identify spares requirements for control systems.

Skills Required
  • Strong foundation in PLC programming (Rockwell, Siemens, Allen-Bradley).
  • Experience with industrial robotics (*, ABB, FANUC).
  • Understanding of automation networks (Ethernet/IP, Profinet).
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Instrumentation and Control, Mechatronics, or Automation Engineering.
  • 5+ years of experience in automation maintenance within the automotive industry.
